Memphis Madness

Well anyone who knows me or my husband know that we love Tiger Basketball. Well, who doesn't that lives here or near here! Those who know my husband really well, know that if he enters a drawing, he mostly likely will be picked. Especially if there is more than one grand prize winner. He has won tickets to Phantom of the Opera, he was in the drawing for the Tiger van many, many years ago, he won I know at least one season of Tiger basketball tickets but actually think it was two. Drew got to be a ball boy at the Grizzlies game when Michael Jordan played on the other team. (Just for your information, Drew informed us that night that Michael Jordan smelled really bad! hahah!) and just a couple of weeks ago, he won VIP 'ticket's to Memphis Madness.

Memphis Madness is of course free but the people who won got to sit in a special section and didn't have to fight and search for a seat in the midst of thousands of fans at the FedEx forum. The best part of all was the private autograph session before for the winners! We went with basketball in hand to have all the Tiger team sign. It was so fun to see the Larry Finch facility were they train and practice. As we were leaving, there was coach Josh Pastner with some guy with a hoodie on. I was so excited!! So, I took a pictures. As we were about to leave, I here this person calling "Ma'am, Ma'am excuse me Ma'am" I turn around and it is Josh Pastner! I say "Me, Ma'am?" He replies "Yes, ummm you can't publish that picture. Please delete it. It is against NCAA regulations that you publish pictures of a recruit." So I assured him that I would, and I did! He then asked if I would like to take a picture of him with my husband. Ummmm. YEAH! So there ya go....my husband with the sweet coach of the Memphis Tiger Basketball team. How cool is that? It was a very fun evening. Especially when your husband buys you a new long sleeve U of M shirt! We won't mention my new shoes that I bought the k-i-l-l-e-d my feet all night....!
